To Educate or Not to Educate: Systematic Review of Disaster Medicine Education in Kazakhstan in Compression with Post-Soviet Countries

Introduction: Disaster medicine education is a huge challenge, but essential to disaster preparedness. While natural disasters have always been part of world events, recent large-scale and man-made drawn attention medicine. As consequence, medical schools in many parts the begun incorporate disaster-related topics into their curricula. However, territory former USSR, has just its development, at moment it represented only couple countries, including Kazakhstan. Method: Data collection was performed using database search through Ministry Education Healthcare Republic Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russian Federation, Belarus, Ukraine. Medicine curricula on different levels, bachelor, graduate, postgraduate levels were reviewed analyzed. Results: Even though Kazakhstan ninth largest country world, field currently one university country: specialists emergency are trained residency master's programs. In Republics Uzbekistan not provided, there electives for bachelor students. The Federal Center Medicine, located Moscow, offers doctors advanced training medicine, also provided all over Federation. Ukraine, moment, no while Belarus education. Conclusion: Despite fact that our life impossible without catastrophes, most post-soviet countries having educational programs Using international experience could be beneficial so every will prepared face any both locally globally.
